Project Overview

A Landmark in Immersive Marine-Themed Entertainment

Chimelong Spaceship Park Zhuhai stands as a flagship development within the Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Resort, redefining how built environments can merge entertainment, education, and ecological awareness. As one of the largest indoor theme parks in the world, the project brings together marine biodiversity, interactive experiences, and advanced architectural design into a single, cohesive destination.

Inspired by the Rhythms of the Ocean

The design language of the park draws heavily from natural marine ecosystems—integrating elements such as waves, shorelines, sunlight reflections, and aquatic life into the overall environment. Across the 85,000-square-meter development, surfaces are carefully crafted to echo these themes, transforming walkways and gathering spaces into immersive storytelling features that guide visitors through a dynamic ocean-inspired journey.

Engineered Surfaces for Visual Depth and Performance

A range of decorative concrete systems was utilized to achieve both aesthetic richness and long-term durability. Indoor spaces feature intricately detailed Bomanite Toppings finishes with marine-inspired patterns, while outdoor areas incorporate Bomanite Exposed Aggregate surfaces in tones of blue, green, and sand to represent water, vegetation, and beach environments. Specialty glass aggregates and textured sand finishes enhance visual depth, complemented by custom wave and crack patterns that reinforce the project’s thematic identity.

Slip-resistant finishes were seamlessly integrated into high-traffic zones, including beach-themed stairs and pathways—ensuring safety without compromising design intent.

Precision Craftsmanship at Scale

Delivered under tight timelines and complex coordination, the project required high-level technical execution to translate intricate design concepts into a cohesive built environment.

Today, the marine-ecology-themed hardscape defines the visitor journey—where design, performance, and storytelling converge into a world-class destination.
